These donut pins are new on my shop: HER SWEET EMBRACE
They measure 2.2cm across and the pin back is stainless steel.
Here’s another beautiful set from the Mermadecrafts x hersweetembrace collaboration collection! Sparkly gold thread is going to be perfect for the year end holiday sesason!
I love how the gold thread makes the friendship bracelet more smart casual, if I should say so myself, it looks really classy!

I’m so pleased to share photos of the collaboration series between Mermade Crafts and my shop Her Sweet Embrace. Behind the label Mermade Crafts, is the creator Merlina, who is also my dear friend and ex classmate!
In this collaboration series, she handmade a bunch of beautiful friendship bracelets inspired by a few of my cross stitched designs. Such as this red heart cross stitch ring & earring set with a matching heart friendship bracelet by Mermade Crafts.
Head over to her shop to see the rest: mermadecrafts.com. I’ll also be sharing more photos on my blog in the coming days. Have a good weekend everyone!

I was contacted by Aleks of Hello Small Shop who asked if I was interested to send them a product from my shop for them to review and blog about. Of course I said yes, and sent them my teacup & donut cross stitched collar pins. They are based right here in Canada, so yay domestic shipping!
Aleks wrote such a lovely review! To read about it, head over to Hello Small Shop’s blog: Review of Her Sweet Embrace Teacup/Coffee & Donut Collar Pins
Both pins are in stock on my shop, check it out

So this is happening in September and I’m super excited about it. It’s going to be my first public event in Canada, and I’m not quite sure what to expect. I’ve done a few craft events in Singapore before, but none as big as this. The timing is perfect for Christmas shopping too, nothing is better than getting your Christmas shopping done early. If you’re in the Toronto area, please come by and look for me at my booth, I would love to meet you all!

These are the first 7 designs from my #crossstitchchallenge, dedicated to Singapore. What a week! Singapore just celebrated 51 years of independence and then a few days ago, won their very first Summer Olympic Gold medal. I’m extremely homesick, but I’ll be seeing my parents and bestfriend very soon, they’re flying out here to Canada for my wedding!
#crossstitchchallenge 7/7: Mosaic Tile
Inspired by this tile image below, taken 4 years ago with my dear friend. We were in Singapore’s Chinatown area and came across several old shop houses with mosaic tile flooring such as this one.
#crossstitchchallenge 6/7: Peranakan Mosaic Tile
This style of tiles are usually found in traditional Peranakan houses, most of them are now heritage sites in Singapore.
I’ve stayed in the Joo Chiat/Katong area pretty much all my life, and here is where you’ll find Peranakan houses and food. My grandparents are Peranakans, and I’ve always loved the embroidery on the traditional kebayas and beautiful beaded slippers.
#crossstitchchallenge 5/7: Orchid, Vanda Miss Joaquim
Singapore’s national flower, these orchids are so beautiful with their purple and white petals. The Vanda Miss Joaquim was chosen for it “vibrant colours, hardiness and resilience – qualities that reflect the Singapore spirit.” (as quoted from this article)
